    Question regarding Hard Drives

    Hi

    I'm planning on buying an ET5000 next week.

    I have a externaly powered 1TB USB HDD that I plan to use.

    However, the HDD has a 250GB file that I use to backup my Squeezebox with.

    Q, will I be able to use the rest of the HDD for recording from the ET5000 or will the HDD need to be reformatted soley for use with the ET5000?

    It will need to be initialized once connected to the ET5000.

    Yes it will. To use it for recording it needs to be in EXT3/4 format.
