    cant install webmedia plugin

    hi all new et5k thick user here i have downloaded the file onto memory stick but cant get it to install on the box can someone assist please happy new year to all

    if the file is a .ipk file then you do not install it from a USB stick, but rather FTP it to the TMP/ directory on the receiver then on the receiver ( presuming you are using ViX ) Blue button > ViX > install local extension.

    hi all uzipped the .ipk file which is 55kb used ftp and placed into temp folder when you go into the vix and then into install local extention the is no file to install any ideas from the experts thanks

    did you make sure the file appeared in the /tmp folder before closing your FTP client?

    If you are using Vx press blue button/vix/instal local extension and the ipk file should be there to instal select it and press green to instal
    All PM,s asking about c/s on cable will be ignored and reported to forum staff!

    sorry the main the .ipk file had not gone into the temp folder i deleted the file opened up the temp folder and reinserted the .ipk file in temp folder again ,then everything was working fine
