    not finding correct region channels

    Hi guys

I am in Manchester 2 region virgin ex c&w using xtrend8500 with vix image 5.1.033 release. software update done.

I have noticed BBC HD and all ITV HDs in my bouquets is blank with service not found. I did manual scan which is what always do and its made no change i have gone in all channels list and the only BBC Wales HD & ITV Wales HD is clearing but BBC north west SD is still clearing fine. Very strange!

Here are my settings which I haven't altered:

    tuner A:
    Network ID 00000
    used service scan type: Provider
    Region: Virgin Media (ex CW)

    Manual Scan:
(predifined tuners showing 6952 i used complete scan)
    Type of scan : complete
    Network no
    only free no

    In ABM Providers:
    Virgin UK: yes
    area: 41066 Manchester 2

last ABM scan was done a few months ago and I then moved channels around to personalise it since then always manual scan. All been fine up until the other day.

Is there any info i have missed for you?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    not finding correct region channels

Someone else had issues with that, but I advised him to use Net ID 41060 and that sorted his Regional channels out.

So do i simply change network ID on the tuner config settings from 00000 to 41060?

For the UK, it does not matter what netID you put in tuner configuration

Unless you are in a Pure area, you will always get out of region services that do not work.

Only way around it is to disable background scanning, remove all cable services, restart, run ABM.

Did you try 41060 in your ABM Providers (Net ID) bit?

how do i do that on manual scan? If I use ABM to scan it will create a new bouquet and alter my personalised one unless theres a way of abm scanning and keeping the list inside the bouquet still in the order it is now.

I would, in your situation, take an image backup, make the suggested changes to ABM NetID 41060, try it out, and see if the channels are back.

If they are, you can couch flash the image backup and wait for advice on keeping your original bouquet ordering.

If they're not, you can couch flash the image backup and wait for advice on what to try next.
