    Northern Ireland Terrestrial Provider File

    Trying to set up a box with a terrestrial feed in NI. ABM is not retrieving a provider file for Northern Ireland Terrestrial.

    Does this exist or why might it fail to retrieve the file? Getting a 404 Not Found Error.

    In ABM Providers, I've selected 'Northern Ireland Terrestrial' = Yes. 'Region' = Northern Ireland Terrestrial.

    Thanks.

    I don't know where you have selected that. Please provide a screengrab.

    There is no provider file for Northern Ireland Terrestrial. As Northern Ireland is part of the UK, its 3 main transmitters (Brougher Mountain, Divis, Limavady) are listed as regions of "FreeView (UK)".

    Maybe he created it using the terrestrial finder within ABM?

    Well if it is home made it will give a 404 because there is no official file with that name. But if he created it himself doesn't he know?

    This is not my box, so I don't have access to it presently. In the ABM providers page, there were menu options for Freeview, Terrestrial, Saorsat, Saorview and from recollection a Portuguese option.
    Terrestrial option was selected and drilled down into the NI option where possible.

    So, it should have been Freeview and then Divis selected in the provider setup?
    Create the custommix named terrestrial_uk_freeview_CustomMix.xml?
    Switch channels in terrestrial_uk_freeview_CustomLCN.xml

    And go from there...?

    Yes, if Divis is the local transmitter.

    Get it working with no custom files first. Once working then you can add them (if necessary).

    Hi,

    So when I got to their house it took a bit more than I expected to get a signal. I had thought they were using Divis, but it turns out the installer had set them up pointing to a local transmitter.

    Therefore, I used the terrestrial finder to get it setup. The TV channels all work now, but I cannot get channel allocations for the radio.
    I've got the Saorsat radio channels starting at Ch700.

    I found the terrestrial finder radio channels when searching for them, but I could not see a channel allocation for them.

    What do I need to do in order to obtain their channels numbers?

    Freeview audio channels are added to the video bouquet.

    Code:
    		<channel number="9" with="106"/>	<!-- BBC FOUR HD -->
    That does not belong in a custom mix file.

    Yes, I had corrected it in the upload before you replied - pasted it in by mistake when getting files collated for upload.

    I hadn't noticed the below in terrestrialfinder.xml when working on the laptop:

    servicehack_variable_cache["add_audio_channels_to_video_bouquet"] = True

    Where does Lamedb5 get its transponder details from?
    It overwrites the modification I made to the Saorsat transponder, despite me putting the mod into the custom folder.

    I deleted Lamedb & Lamedb5 and performed a channel search. Looked like Lamedb & Lamedb5 were generated correctly, but post execution of ABM it altered. Is there somewhere I need to place it for ABM?

    What is altered? Does it stop the transponder being received?

    I had to modify the transponder due to how Inverto has implemented the polarisation voltages. Yes, stops transponder being received. I can work around it now that I'm aware of it, but thought I'd ask when I had your attention.

    It is just the polarisation value that is causing the issue. The additional 500 on the frequency is probably a muddle from here I've gone in and changes the polarisation value to get it to work.

    Then set the LNB up user defined. Something like this:
