There are different factors. We would need to know what operating system you are running. Microsoft / Apple / Linux / Android. I don't trust the big ones and prefer open-source.
So my machine has Linux Mint 22 cinnamon on. The user interface is very similar to windows 7 / 10 but no outlook, no Edge, no Chrome, no OneDrive. As browsers I use Firefox and Vivaldi.
In the browser setting I disabled history and set clear history / cache when closed. As office package I use LibreOffice and as mail client Thunderbird. I install programs mostly from the Linux app store. Instead of YouTube I use the app "FreeTube".
If you understand German, I can provide you with the script of a presentation on Linux I recently held.

Assuming you are using win 11, try ccleaner to keep your pc clean and running smoothly.

The internet, maybet??? Seriously, you don't really need registry cleaners or temporary file cleaners. If you don't know what you're doing when using "tools" like these you can seriously mess up your system. Microsoft has tools built in to the operating system to remove unwanted files or leftover temporary data. It also has Windows Defender which is free and updated daily to monitor your system for viruses.

For Windows 11, Windows 10 fom 2019 and newer Microsoft has its own cleaning tool with PC Manager.

Only if you have a very old version of CCleaners. It morphed a few years back into crap bloatware with so many ill conceived features.

    Microsoft PC Manager

If you want to clean your Microsoft PC use Microsoft PC Manager. It is available in the Microsoft store.
Beside cleaning you can check and update your system directly there and find duplicates.
The only thing which is helpful in ccleaner is the update manager. So you can see the outdated software. Afterwards you open these apps and check there for updates. No need to buy ccleaner.

While I would agree about ccleaner bloatware it outperforms anything else I have used in the win 8 and later era. Its driver updater is superb, the registry cleaner is very good for getting rid of crud and its internet cookie and tracker remover is unbeatable. If you have a little windows knowledge the tools section is very useful. Especially if you have encountered the win 11 24H2 update cluster F***.
