Octagon SF8008 Supreme - time shifting issue

    Hi All,
I am new owner of Octagon SF8008 Supreme equipped with Samsung 1TB SSD external drive plugged into the USB socket (either side or the rear one).
I have found an issue with time shifting. The remote feels unresponsive to the "pause" and "rewind" buttons on remote - means no time shifting is allowed.
The receiver records all streamed content when the "record"button is pressed.

Does anyone here have any idea how to resolve this issue?

    Marcin

Which file system is the hard drive in? For timeshift, as symlinks are involved, you can only use a linux fie system.
For recording, you can record to fat32 and exfat devices but the GUI does not allow you to select them.

The SSD was formatted by the STB - it was brand new when attached. I have also tried 64Gb Kingston pendrive (also formatted by STB) with the same results - no results.

I have also tried internal NVMe M.2 500GB drive - this one, when on board was causing boot loop and the system was not running at all

Are you sure NVME drive type is supported? Maybe only SATA type?

According to the SF8008 Supreme specs, yes. this the latest model with NVME slot iside.
It came with OpenPli 9.0 preinstalled and after the installation on NVME drive it never booted again - so NVME got to go out.

I spent all day and night trying to reflush to make all work. Finally, after removing the NVME from inside it started working, but, pause and rewind do not respond as they should. Also tried the HOT KEY assignment, but no success
