DM920 in a loop of restarts after uploading my own setting.

DM920 in a loop of restarts after uploading my own setting.

After 5 years, I found out with pleasure that an image from VIXteam was created for my current DM920 satellite receiver.
I used to love using VixImage on the ET9500 before Xtrend ended due to a malfunction.
I installed viximage 6.6.010 on DM920. While setting it up, I ran into a problem that I don't know how to deal with. I can't upload my setting to the DM920. I create my setting from the Hannibal setting, which I add with 2 of my bouquets. So far, I have always uploaded my settings to the Merlin, NN2 and OpenATV images without any problems and used them without any problems.
Image Merlin, which I used with pleasure until now, is unstable after the update, generating problems with the network connection.
Can you please guide me how to proceed when uploading my own setting in VixImage? After uploading the setting to the DM920, the receiver restarts and remains in the restart loop, I can't get to the crash log from Viximage. I have to reinstall Image again. Thanks in advance for any advice.

So you flash OpenViX image and then restore a settings file? If so how do you restore the file? Do you also restore plugins??

Is this an old dm920 or new and what is the tuner setup as this could well be an issue.
If you have a loop then do this....
Telnet into the box with login root and password either blank or as set by you., using something like putty.
    Then Init 4 (space between)
Followed by enigma2 which should show a log .. check if there is a crash and where.

Keep in mind you can not restore settings made for Merlin or any dreamos based image and restore it on openvix.
If that is the case you should make completly new settings.
Bouquets may also be not compatible if they are made for Merlin....

DM920 is from 2019. Installed 1x FBC tuner MIS Broadcom, 1x SiliconLabs MIS. Antenna on T90 in 8 positions, switched via diseq1.1 switches. Each tuner is set separately in expert mode.
When installing Vix image, I do a completely clean installation from scratch following the wizard in VIX image. After installation, entering the password, the DM920 works well with the setting that is part of the image and switches all positions - 5W/0.8W/9E/13E/16E/19.2E/23.5E and 28.2E.
I don't do any settings recovery from Merlin. I create the setting myself. The basis is the Hannibal setting. I downloaded it as a plugin in Viximage. I will download this setting to the PC, add 2 bouquets, and I want to send it back to the DM920. 2 bouquets is the list of channels of our provider in our region. When sending to DM920 via Dreambox edit on W10 or via e2Remote on MacOS, a loop of restarts occurs.
I read about the AutobouquetsMaker plugin on the forum. Does this plugin need to be set somehow so that my setting can be uploaded?
In further tests, I will try to connect to the receiver and stop restarts with the "init4" command. When I get to the receiver, the crashlog will be in which folder? It used to be in /hdd. Now there is no crashlog left.
    Thanks for any advice.

So what you can do is login via telnet

    init 4
    ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=4 enigma2

then in the console you will see the error that will crash enigma. Copy and post it here so to see what is wrong.

I am sending my setting. When it is poorly created, I want to study how the setting is created correctly. Some links to the correct creation or setting adjustment. Thank you2024.11.07 - setting.zip

"Thank you for your willingness to help" - not a problem!!

So either of those 2 extra bouquets crashes the code ----> its whatever is in the .'s at the end, this is used by our code with IPTV users.
Can you tell us what type of data is held there (character, numeric, binary key) ??

OpenATV also adopted our code change 2 weeks ago so have you tried them since then??

Sorry, I can't answer. My knowledge is insufficient.
I also tried the setting you are evaluating in OpenATV on November 6, 2024 in the daily edition. There were no problems.
I will try another setting where I will not add bouquets. I just adjust the bouquets according to my wishes. I will let you know the result.
From the communication so far, it is clear that my setting is poorly created and that is the problem.
