    Zap timers wipe EPG

Whenever a zap timer fires it wipes(?) the EPG and I'm unable to select any channel other than the one that has been zapped to.

Hopefully, the attached image and log will help to provide a solution?

    The log contains this:
    < 6779.306789> [RecordTimer] activating state 2 (Running)
    < 6779.307668> [RecordTimer] zapping
< 6779.308357> [RecordTimer] _bouquet_search reached end of bouquets..??
    Which isn't supposed to happen.
I think it means it's found a service which isn't in any bouquet.

The log also seems to imply that you had a missed recording that was started at boot time.
    That's this bit:
< 39.662621> [RecordTimer] prepare ok, waiting for begin
    < 39.663249> [RecordTimer] Failed to call Trashcan.instance.cleanIfIdle()
< 39.663292> [RecordTimer] Error: module 'Tools.Trashcan' has no attribute '$
    < 39.663755> [RecordTimer] activating state 2 (Running)
< 39.664077> [RecordTimer] start recording on tuner: A
This would seem to be correct as the Grand Prix qualifying filename indicates a 09:15 start, but it's actually 09:32 when it gets there.

I think the scheduling was changed for the highlights on CH4 due to rain delays at the circuit.

It's starting to make sense to me. Starting!

I have only one bouquet: Freesat Favourites (the others are removed using dreamboxEDIT) and it's from this bouquet I set my Timers and AutoTimers. EPG>select broadcast>Green or Blue>Green>Green. With this I would expect the box to find the service as it was selected from a bouquet?

This was for F1 Sprint Qualifying and the broadcast was recorded.

I think the scheduling was changed for the highlights on CH4 due to rain delays at the circuit.
F1 Qualifying was moved and the box picked up the change and recorded it at 07:55 this morning.

Does all that point to the issue?

UPDATE: I've rescanned now and have two additional bouquets, All Channels and Last Scanned. I also have a zap timer coming up this morning so, fingers, crossed, all may be well?

I had a zap timer fire this morning and have lost the EPG again with the same symptoms as I described above.

Log attached in the hope of a diagnosis and fix please?

Has it just switched you to an empty bouquet?
The screen image shows "All" at top-left. But you mention that the only one you have is "Freesat Favourites".

That's what it's looking like but I have the additional two bouquets, All Channels and Last Scanned in there now. Perhaps I should rename All Channels to All? But why would it choose to switch into a bouquet that's not the 'working' one and one that doesn't actually exist?

Haven,t had time to look at the log, but which service were you zapping to ?

How did you create your bouqets - did you use ABM at any stage?

Maybe you are not in a bouquet but in the all services list?

It was zapping to BBC1 HD, the first entry in my Freesat Favourites bouquet.

I use ABM to set such as 'Hide sections' and then do a manual single satellite scan. I originally used dreamboxEDIT to put the bouquet together but only use it now to fix transponder changes like the recent ITV4 move.

'All services list'? I'm sorry, but I don't understand.

Oops, sorry about delayed response. Instead of using the grid EPG, use the channel selection method. Red button is all services. The EPG code can lose focus. It happens less frequently following the changes by prl and Simon.

And are you sure the EPG is being deleted?

Which scanning method did you use to create a bouquet called All channels? Can you please upload you bouquets? Please use the export function in openwebif bouquet editor.

Apologies for the delay: real life intervened mid reply!

I'm assuming the EPG is being deleted as I find it impossible to find any entries in 'All' no matter how many times I press Ch+, Ch- or the arrow keys. In addition, it's impossible to move to another channel outside of the (missing?) EPG: only the one I was watching can be displayed.

I use ABM to set such as 'Hide sections' and 'Providers' (Freesat only) then do a manual single satellite scan outside of ABM and then again within. I originally used dreamboxEDIT to put the bouquets together but only use it now to fix transponder changes like the recent ITV4 move. However, going through the process to check just now, All Channels wasn't present to I had to copy all of the just scanned channels and create it manually in dreamboxEdit.

    Bouquets backup from OpenWebIf attached.
