OpenVPN and Surfshark - Cannot access plugins and EPG download

    Hi all,

I followed the guide for setting up Open VPN with Surfshark and all went well.
I can now stream from the sites I need.

The problem is that I now can't seem to download plugins or an updated EPG (via EPG importer).
My ZGemma H7S box says I have no internet access even though the network test is all green and I can stream from the internet.

In network settings, I have tried DHCP and static settings.
Also I have tried to use the default DNS IP and also Google DNS IPs but none of it works.

As soon as I stop Open VPN I get back access to these things but can't stream from my target sites.

My router has no special settings, DNS or otherwise.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

    Thanks

Actually, I was mistaken. The EPG seems to download OK.

It's just the plugin list won't load and I get a message on startup saying I have no internet connection.

I've read on these forums that OpenVix checks internet connection by pinging Google DNS (8.8.8.8).
However, I can ping this via SSH no problem.
Is there some other IP that is used now?

No it does ping, it opens a socket. And if you think it is that just bypass the check in OnlineUpdateCheck.py.

    Thanks.
I'll probably just leave it as is as the message isn't too annoying
