    Current problems
    1. Unavailable services do not hide/fade immediately.

    I record:
    BBC one Lon (10773 H 22000)
    BBC Two HD (10847 V 2300)

ITV HD (12363 V 27500) should be greyed out. It isn't immediately. Trying to record it invokes a conflict correctly. Activating/selecting it causes the "no free tuner" message , it is then greyed out.

    2. I continue to record services in the Freesat All channels bouquet, for london/london. When I get to ITV3 +1, I get the timer conflict. This should not happen as I can select the channel and then record it.

    3. The conflict timers does not list the timers services correctly. Just numbers them.
What is the tuner config for this report?

Does this only happen when FBC tuners are involved?

I can only do limited testing because the only Universal I have is on a motor. If I start a recording on that on a vertical it doesn't seem to understand that horizontal is not available. Nothing is greyed out and it tries to tune.

Can we go back through old images and find where it starts?

I am not sure if only FBC tuners are affected, but this is where I discovered it. The "FBC automatic" is just "automatic/ondemand internal loop through". I would need to fully understand what should be available with one input in order to test with a non-FBC tuner. I have a 3t combo which is similar to solo2 with the internal loopthrough. Nobody has documented this in a manner that I can understand. I will try your Horizontal/Vertical scenario on the 3T Combo.

I first reported this on 19th November 2018, so not sure how far back we need to go. The only receiver that could have older images is the Solo 4K. My Solo 4K is with a friend and not going to be easy to get it off him.

So to simplify just test one cable and anything else in loopthrough.

Channels must all be the same polarisation and all either higher than 11700 or all lower.

Finally found the TM in an unmarked box under the bed.

    OpenVix 5.4 008.007 Homebuild
    (2021.02.08)

    Reception Hardware:
    Tuner A: No wire
Tuner B: Wire from universal LNB pointing at 28.2
    Tuner C: No wire

    Reception software:
Tuner A: Loop through from B
    Tuner B: Simple, Single, 28.2
    Tuner C: Disabled

Created the same bouquet as in previous test. Freesat London/London.
Selected BBC One Lon (Horizontal, 10773-Low)
As soon as I record BBC One Lon, all the Vertical and High channels are greyed out.
I then recorded Channel 4 SD (Horizontal, 10714-Low)

This should now tie me down to the two transponders in use.
Even though Channel 5 HD (Horizontal, 10964-low) is greyed out I was able to select it and got a no free tuner message. Ideally, I should not be able to select it if it is unavailable and greyed out.
I was able to select and record programs on E4, Film 4 and CBeebies which are on the two transponders in use. Although they did not show up in imers.xml

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" ?>

    So currently we have:
    1) Py2 vs Py3
    2) FBC vs conventional

So to go further we need to know which is the problem

This was first identified in 2018 on a Solo4K, so to me, it can't be a Py2/Py3 issue. The 3T Combo is no longer supported by Vix, so somebody else with a Solo2 or any other receiver with internal loop through will have to check to definitively confirm.

Ok, so not related to the Gigablue issue reported in the other thread then?

I think it is the same thing, FBC tuners and Universal LNBs.

In his thread he confirms he is using 2 cables. No loop from A to B and still reports a conflict.

The issue is the same. The internal loop through is what the socket-less tuners are when using a universal LNB. You had asked to test on a non-FBC device.

He says he has 2 tuners connected to 2 cables and once just one recording is started on one tuner some channels grey out even though the second root tuner is available.

Maybe that could be the same bug but the test is slightly different.

I would really like to know on a current image if 2 cable to a twin tuner receiver works properly.

Regarding 3T Combo we don't build any dags7356 boxes anymore. Apart from the tmtwin4k all the TMs we build now belong to the same family (dags7362).
