    ServiceApp

If you use ServiceApp. Select a player in it exteplayer3.
We are getting very slow IPTV channel switching. In order for him to switch, a spinner appears on the screen.
    Please fix it.

The ATV 7.0 and 7.1 team have fixed this. They work fast without slowing down.

As far as openatv is concerned maybe the same for VIX just install serviceapp but do not go into it leave setttings as default, just change stream type in what ever you use to play your iptv streams.

So after build 6.2.005.002 there should be an updated SystemApp plugin that hopefully will improve the IPTV 4097 stream playing

I'm on 6.2.003 and I've noticed an improvement in switching between different IPTV channels compared to 6.2.002. This is using service ref 5002.

    I moved away from 4097 a while ago. Once I update to 005, I'll re-try 4097.

The changes to serviceapp on 4097 are pretty good, at least as fast as other images and in some cases faster.

Are changes to 4097 mainly faster? I personally wasnt too bothered about that. For me, it was more stability of channels (ie freezing, out of sync, etc). I found 5002 was more stable along with installing QuarterPounder plugin to restart frozen streams best option.

In tests looks significantly faster and stable - was tested on a miscellaneous bunch of bouquet streams, some working, some with bad links - handled it fine.
At the end of the day, any plugin is dependent on the source stream, its stability and server ability to handle changing workloads
The old saying, rubbish in, rubbish out is really applicable for IP streams

Well, I don't know if it's due to the changes but 4097 IPTV streams look sharper with 6.2.005.002. Of course it could be that the TV screen has been cleaned or my eyesight is less bad Today or the stream source has changed.
