    Reboot in new openvix 6.0

    I have changed ton new openvix 6.0, but since them, when i try to see something recorded on my HDD the image said "your receiver encountered a software problem and needs to be restartered". This is done not on every recorded program but most of then. In the other hand if i try to record from the rec button the machine is blocked and again restarted itself. That does not occur on the old openvix 5. Any help?

    1. turn on debug logs and post debug and any crash logs
    2. what format is the HDD, only 'ext4', 'ext3', 'ext2', 'nfs', 'cifs', 'ntfs' are now supported
    3. check that you have drivers installed e.g. ntfs
    Gigablue Quad 4K & UE 4K
    .........FBC Tuners:
    ------------------> GT-Sat unicable LNB to 1.5M dish(28.2E)
    ------------------> Gigablue unicable LNB to 80 cm dish(19.2E)
    .......................> FBC & DVB-S2X into 90cm dish (27.5W) Opticum robust Unicable LNB
    AX HD61, Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo, Octagon SF8008 , gbtrio4k, h9se using unicable ports

    People who want to use fat32/exfat devices may want to wish to use other images. Apart from the file size limits, absolutely nothing wrong with those filesystems. They have always worked on vix for recording for people who want to move USB device among devices.

    That being said, ext file system is best.

    I can't believe you are recommending other images based on this untruth. Fat32 does not support hard links. The difference between us and others is we deal with it in the setup whereas with other images the user finds it doesn't work when timeshift fails.

    What are hardlinks used for recording purposes?
    If ViX have disabled fat32 and exfat devices, what are people who need those supposed to do?

    1) Hardlinks are used for timeshift.
    2) We don't stop people configuring fat32 devices... just not for recording.

    OK, thanks for confirming hardlinks are irrelevant to recording, only relevant to timeshift.
