Hi all,

Here is my problem

I have formatted my external usb disk form the setup menu on my et1000 running vix 5.4.016. So far so good as I was able to (via ssh) copy a number of files I had saved on the hdd in the box onto the usb disk. Unfortunately, I can't read the disk when plugged in a MBP running 10.13.6, the OS even offers me to initialise it.
Disk Utility sees the usb hdd and says it is partitioned with GUID format...

Ideally, I would want this backup to have a copy of films and programmes I don't want to loose. Also, I would like to be able to watch the saved movies on my Mac.

Is there a filesystem that I can use to format the usb disk that will be readable by both the OSes (linux) on the STB and MacOs on the MBP?

TIA for any input.
