    what LNB?

Have just bought this receiver and have plugged both feeds into a sky dish with 4 outputs.
After adding a few recordings to try it out i noticed i was getting a clash when 4 recordings were overlapping.

Am i right in thinking i need to replace the current LNB for a unicable one to sort this out?
My head is saying yes but thought id ask here to be certain before i buy one to replace the current LNB.

    Thanks

You are correct. Don't forget the difference in collar size means you will have to get an adapter.

thanks so much. Im aware of the adapters for sky dishes but might just upgrade the LNB on my motorised dish instead.
Thanks for the fast reply abu baniaz

Don't put a Unicable LNB on a motorised dish. This is explained in the Unicable sticky.

So I think I have a similar issue.

I can stream 8+ channels on at least 4 different bands. But each time I start one it glitches the others, sometimes it causes enough downtime for VLC to reconnect.
Once they all connected its fine though and they run perfect for good.

The issue I have is I use SmartOne IPTV on Samsung TV's across 3 different houses on the property, each property has 3 TV's so total 9 TV's.
If someone starts a stream it has the ability to affect the stream from another TV when then the user has to restart which causes a repeat issue between those two people.

So im wondering is this an LNB issue or a gigablue issue.
The fact I see the glitch on VLC streams I know its no the Samsung TV's fault, just how they are reactivating to the issue.

Add: I have single dish running off Optus D1, all 4 tuners are wired to the same LNB connection via a splitter.

    @bmurphy

    1. you will not get an alert for updates to this thread.
    2. you are using Teamblue, which is based on OpenPli (and therefore python 2) and only gets updates about every month to their Git (I have no idea about image updates) … so I am guessing not regularly updated with changes and fixes.
    3. As you have a multiboot receiver, I would suggest that you flash online (through the Teamblue flashonline software) another slot with OpenViX, so that we have direct knowledge of your issues in terms of helping with issues.( you will have to download the unzipped image from above and copy to the HDD, where it should find the image - OpenViX provides direct downloads for other main image providers. Its then easy to switch between images for testing and checkout without losing your main setup.
OpenViX uses the same configuration setup for tuners as OpenPli/Teamblue (unlike others) so that part should be straight forward.

Its not obvious to me how you have physically configured inputs A & B on the FBC tuner and how tuners A thru H are configured in E2, perhaps you can post a few more images??

Thanks, I just came back as I had closed the window :P

I was testing today but enigma froze when I tried to stream with transcoding to see if that would help.
I tried to issue a reboot and the physical box didn't come back so I need to reboot it manually.
Its currently locked in a cupboard and we have guests in the house, but I am getting access tomorrow to do so.
I have a USB plugged into it so will try flash OpenViX as you suggest and get it all setup.

I have a Unicable II I was unsuccessful in getting working, so its sitting in the cupboard; if all else fails I have a 4hr window on Sunday I can try install it, or roll back to the Sky LNB.

I was tailing the debug log when it crashed and have put it here https://pastebin.com/qSwwX31p
It may point to part of the problem but im not sure.

I was streaming 4 channels at the time and one of them I was switching between channels.
I dont have anything plugged into HDMI, the box soul purpose is to be in a. cupboard and I am using VLC (for testing) and SmartOne-IPTV clients on my Samsung TV's to stream in house.

When I scroll through channels it causes glitches on other channels (streaming), sometimes for 1-5 seconds and then sometimes I lose video and retain audio, not sure if its because of a horizontal/veritical change, or LNB frequency change or what

LNB settings I screenshotted before, I have tried Tuner A on those settings then all other cards "copy from tuner A".
I have also tried doing it by setting all tuners to that same config and had a cable plugged into each tuner (A,B, I & J)
FBC is just on automatic on tuners C,D,E,F,G,H

So Sky New Zealand LNB is to tune just channels on Optus D1 on horizontal high band. That means all channels are on the same sub-band and all users can connect to a single output from the LNB via a splitter.

Your config looks correct except "Voltage mode" should be "18V" and "Tone Mode", "off".

In theory you should be able to connect the dish cable to the first tuner and loop to the rest, i.e. B = Loopthrough, C-H = Automatic. If for some reason this won't work with a user defined L.O. you could try a Universal LNB.

Thanks, I will try this when I get access to reboot the box.

So Freeview may be on a different band but same satellite, do you mind checking if this would cause issue with channel swapping?
ts TV One, Tv Three, Parliament TV etc.

Lastly, as mentioned prior, I have my satalite going into this splitter https://cdlnz.com/10MM-DDA24 which is powered, so I assume is already powering the sat with the voltage.
From the splitter, it fans out 4 outputs, 3 of them go to individual TV's that have Freeview tuned in (see screenshot of what the TV installer set for all the TV's).

Note the TV installer still set the "Power" button on for the satalite even though he knew there was a powered splitter.
    IMG_7973.jpg IMG_7974.jpg

Then the last 4th output from the powered splitter I connect to non powered splitter similar to this (https://www.jaycar.co.nz/kingray-4-w...itter/p/LT3071) that then goes into the 4 tuners in the GigaBlue.

As you mention, I shouldn't need a antenna cable going to each tuner, so I will try change the setting to all use Tuner A; is it ok to leave the cables plugged into the other tuners or would This cause issue; I only ask because the property is 4hrs away and would prefer to leave them in for testing if at all possible.

    cheers

So I did as suggested and enabled Tuner A and looped tuner B to tuner A
    I disabled Tuner I & J for testing.

Still getting stops on streams when someone changes the channel.

I tried running enigma in debug mode and it actually wouldn't work at first, I later found I had to kill all the TV's trying to stream as if you try initiate a stream before the gigablue has finished its boot sequence it breaks and then you have to restart enigma.

Nothing stands out in debug mode, just lots of

Managed to install latest OpenViX 6.2.007 (2022-07-14)
I used Generic LNB and when scanning I only find 57 channels found during scan
    When I change to user defined 10750 / 10750 / 10750 I get all channels (212 channels)

Couldn't get the unicable working, this is the generic LNB on my sky disk

Originally I had the last 2 tuners disabled for testing, but have also tried enabling them and saying Equal config to tuner A (and they have cables plugged in to the Sat).
Still having the issue where if a new stream starts, it causes issues with an existing stream, either glitching it for 5-10 seconds, or killing it all together, or not allowing the new stream to start.

You need to connect the LNB direct to the receiver, no splitter, so you can discover if it is the LNB or splitter causing the problem.
