    Changing from OpenATV to OpenVIX

    Hello,
I want to try the OpenVIX image.
    ATM using OpenATV 6.4.
Which VIX image file to use? Recovery?
Put it onto a empty slot and keep ATV just in case?
Don't want to screw up the box.
    Thanks for any help.

Use the .mmc file for online flashing, copying to the hdd and it should be found by Flashonline code in ATV
    Just use a different slot

Hi, Good so far, the unzipped .mmc file showing in flashonline. It was copied to the hdd folder of the receiver.
BTW, had a look in Multi-Boot Manager. There are no entries there.
Could you run me through the various main menu options thereafter:
    1. Multiboot Selector, 2. Flash Recovery Image, 3. USB Multiboot Image Upgrade, 4. Network Multiboot Image Upgrade, 5. SD Card Partition.
I imagine the choice is either 3. or 4. I'm not sure about this option.
Would I be correct to select any slot apart from one or does it not matter. Again, not sure about this option.
    Again, many thanks for help.

So in ATV to flash an image.
copy the zipped image to one of these folders on the HDD "images", "downloaded_images", "imagebackups"
Then long press blue button will get you to the the menu's to flash online...... teh software should find teh zippeded image in one the folders above. Select and flash by following the instructions.
At the end you need to probably long press power button, choose multiboot selector choose OpenViX slot and reboot

This box has mutiple image slots, so just flash OpenATV into another slot.
To flash, blue button, Vix plugin, Imagemanager, download(yellow button) - choose ATV and select image. Once downloaded, select image, blue button(flash) follow the instructions.
Easy - from downloads you can select from OpenViX, Openbh, OpenATV or OpenPli ……… we are very helpful!

You can…………but don‘t see why because you can simply then flip between the 2 images if you want to do that………thats the benefit of a a multiboot rceiver.
