    UE Ram size

    From the spec the UE has 2gb ram

    Information on the box information screen has it at a little under 1gb 906104 kB

    What am i missing or is the UE been miss sold ?

    Ive run cat /proc/meminfo got similar maybe im missing what it is telling me.


    MemTotal: 906240 kB
    MemFree: 640596 kB

    MemTotal is that saying the total memory available ? And MemFree is what is left available.

    I an pretty sure that the 906240 is the partition size of the slot you are using.

    If i run cat /proc/meminfo on my laptop running linux it correctly under MemTotal tells me ive 4103420 kB around 4gb.

    So what im trying to understand is running the same commend on the UE tells me Memtotal is 906104 kb a gig give or take.

    Im referring to ram the box has not the flash size or the size of the slot within the flash mate.

    Well it appears looking again the system is using ram and MemTotal: 906240 kB seems to be whats left.

    Strange on e2 it reports that way on Linux MemTotal: is the total memory available not what is left after system uses.

    Some of the memory gets reserved for the system, it will never all be available.
