Unhappy can't toggle yes/no for Remote Timer when adding timer

After I installed 5.4.016 and extension remotetimer (5.4+git7031) and rebooted I tried to add a timer recording on my remote system. The first line in the add-recording-screen contains the yes/no switch to en/disable the remote recording but when I press the right arrow on my rc nothing happens and the value won't change to yes.

All worked fine on all my 5.3 .xxx images I ran previously.
If I go in 5.4.016 to Timers>Remote Timers I can see the previously added timers on the remote tuner, so my network infrastructure is working OK.

    Is this a bug?

This looks like a similar problem to the VPS plugin, solved by @Birdman

Is this a bug and will it be solved in a future release or can I make a fix myself by adding the 7 lines in plugin.py?
What is the file location of this plugin.py? I can't find it in my enigma directories.
I hope I don't have to compile it because that's way beyond my competence....

Birdman is on holiday. If I get the chance I will look at it, but don't hold your breath, I have a mountain of tasks in the queue.

Remote timer hasn't worked properly for me for months, maybe years. It used to work fine but all I can do now is see the timer list on the main box and delete them, I can't add new timers or edit existing ones. If I try to add a remote timer, it just adds a local one The switch for remote timers can't be moved from 'remote' either but this isn't a recent thing for me. I thought it was a 3rd party plugin so I've never posted about it on here - I just hoped it would be fixed one day.

I upgraded to VIX 6.0.002 Release Zgemmah7 but I still can't move the switch for remote timer in my "Timer Edit" screen.
Maybe Birdman can have a look as suggested above by Huevos?
