EPG from sat on Specific channel /frequency

Hello I have used rytec EPG for some time but I would like to try to set up my unit to download the EPG from my provider.

I have the danish version of Canal Digital, now called Allente.
I have found out that they send the EPG on the frequency 11247 V And the channel "SF Kanalen" should match this.

Is there a way to make Cross EPG get the EPG using this info?

One of the newer plugins such as epgrefresh or opentvzapper should do the trick for you. Just configure the service you require.

OpenTV zapper only seems to have 28.2 as provider.

Have you got a link that shows details of that EPG? Does the EPG populate if you tune a service on that transponder?

Assuming you don't know what kind of EPG data they send try tuning to "SF Kanalen" (or anything on 11247 V) and try enabling and disabling different types of EPG in the settings under:
    Menu / Setup / EPG / Settings
and see if you can get the EPG to load this way.

Once you're successful there you just need to use EPGRefresh or something to automatically tune to that every night for an appropriate length of time.

I have more or less everything enabled under Menu / Setup / EPG / Settings
and searching around a bit I found a pdf guide for EPG refresh that showed how select what channel needs to be tuned. I have set a 1Hour window for auto updating early in the morning and I did a manual refresh and the whole EPG populated so everything appears to be working as expected.
    thank you very much everyone
