Question Any alternative to FTP transfers?

My ethernet port is broken so I tried a USB wireless stick but I'm only getting a 1 MB per sec transfer speed using WPA2 encryption. My PC is within a metre of the VU+ Duo 4K SE. I can get a full broadband speed of 5 MBps when downloading stuff on my PC off the internet via the router downstairs yet WLAN transfers are only 1 MBps. Anything I can do to increase the speed? This is the stick I'm using: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Is there any alternative to LAN or WLAN transfers other than physically removing the hard drive and connecting it to another PC?

I copy large volumes of files to a usb stick or ssd first. Much faster in the long run.

I think you can get USB ethernet ports. Not sure if the drivers are supported on E2 though.

I don't think they are. (Although @bridman made some progress a while ago - https://www.world-of-satellite.com/s...igabit-adapter)

I know there is a driver for USB Ethernet adapters based on the AX88179 chip in the feeds for the Zgemma H7.
But as I understand it, it doesn't necessarily follow that there are similar drivers for any other E2 receiver.

    Some are.
I've run the Amazon Basic one on an et8000.

EDIT: as ccs actually noted above!

How your network port was broken? Duo4KSE is a new box, so it sounds strange.
