After the latest update the zap-history delete itself sometimes after an hour and sometimes after a day or 2.
i've disabled/enabled the panic button but this has no result.

Most likely cause is the box restarting for some reason.

    nope, this happens while watching.
It happened a few minutes ago, the list shows 8 entry's we want to zap and there is only 2 entry's left.
The strange thing is the remaining channels appear to be from 1 satellite e.g. 23 east or 28 east depending the last channel watched.

I've flashed the stb with the PurE2 image and the problem consists, channels disappear from the list.
Flashed the stb with the openvix 5.5.015.002 (py3) and for now it's working like before

Let's hope this did the job....

I'm confused. You said it doesn't work as expected in PurE2, but does in ViX, right?

It doesn't work in Openvix also it doesn't work in PurE2.
I've tried Openvix with py3, hoping this was a solution, but after testing it didn't work either.
The zap-history entry's are deleted at a random order and it's frustrating...........

Panic button enabled (the default) means that the zero key deletes the zap history.

I haven't been able to make it go wrong.

Maybe it's this 8 year old commit .......

    Code:
    https://github.com/OpenViX/enigma2/commit/37b00a82a5edfaafca011f5aa038fabf8fd6e1c0
"also fix history so when you goto a history point and then zap to a new channel the history after that point is cleared and the new zap is added to history."

Not sure if that commit it supposed to add or remove the commented text.

Anyway, fill up zap history with 20 entries, go into zap history and select the 10th entry.

The zap history still has 20 entries until you zap to another channel, when roughly 10 entries are removed.

    History-Zap 7 entry's.jpg

The screenshot shows 8 entry's, after a while 5 out of 8 disappear, leaving only 3.....

@ccs So Yes the change does what it says.
If you have 8 entries in the list and you select the oldest and then switch to a new service, it deletes all entries(7) after the oldest and adds the new service to the list.
Obviously somebody thought this was the best way forward, but I am not sure logically I would have chosen this solution
    Gigablue Quad 4K & UE 4K
    .........FBC Tuners:
    ------------------> GT-Sat unicable LNB to 1.5M dish(28.2E)
------------------> Gigablue unicable LNB to 80 cm dish(19.2E)
    .......................> FBC & DVB-S2X into 90cm dish (27.5W) Opticum robust Unicable LNB
    AX HD61, Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo, Octagon SF8008 , gbtrio4k, h9se using unicable ports
    Zgemma H9 C/S into Giga4K

There's an explanation of how it happens in posts #11 and #13.

To me the Oldest means the last one, the one at the bottom, and there are no more entries after the last one.

However even now that you've explained it and I know that after actually means before it still doesn't make any sense at all to me.

An ordered list of recently used channels shouldn't just choose to truncate itself for any reason I can think of.
