It would seem that the Vix media player cannot handle/recognize Forced Narrative subtitle streams...
As a lot of TV producers, especially American, seem to think it's clever to keep switching to different languages within a given episode this is only going to become more and more of a problem...
The files I'm creating are H264 MP4 with subtitle streams remuxed into them
I know the FN stream is there as VLC media player can access it and successfully use it
Vix media player after 'Audio' 'Audio' gives a blank screen
If I add a full blown English(CC) subt stream it sees it as the first stream
Any thoughts..?

As a workaround I thought maybe to add a full English(CC) stream and then turn subt on and off as necessary during playback...
BUT
although 'Audio' 'Audio' '1' turns them off it doesn't turn them back on again...
The only way I've found to do so is to stop and restart playback which isn't ideal
Any suggestions..?

As a last resort I guess I could print off a reformatted version of the Frc Narr .SRT file and read that when required...Also not great

I can send you the two .SRT files if that would help
It's pretty obvious by looking at them in Notepad to see how they work
The version of VLC I'm running is (2.1.3 Rincewind) as I prefer it to the newer versions
As I understand VLC is open source maybe there's a chunk of code in there that you could knick
