I've copied this from putty as the flash as progressing.....

    Usage:
    kill [options] <pid> [...]

    Options:
<pid> [...] send signal to every <pid> listed
    -<signal>, -s, --signal <signal>
specify the <signal> to be sent
-l, --list=[<signal>] list all signal names, or convert one to a name
-L, --table list all signal names in a nice table

-h, --help display this help and exit
-V, --version output version information and exit

    For more details see kill(1).
    killall: kodi.bin: no process killed
    killall: hddtemp: no process killed
    killall: transmission-daemon: no process killed
    killall: openvpn: no process killed
sh: /etc/init.d/sabnzbd: No such file or directory
    Stopping automount: done.
    Syncing filesystem
    daemonize
    successful
    start umount_rootfs
root@vuultimo4k:~# cp: can't stat '/lib/libcrypt*': No such file or directory
    Switching to user mode 2
    Checking E2 is running...
    Execute: ps
    E2 still running
    Execute: ps
    E2 still running
    Execute: ps
    E2 still running
    Execute: ps
    E2 still running
    Execute: ps
    E2 still running
    Execute: ps
    E2 still running
    .................................................. ........

It says this for a while whilst showing the Onscreen display on the TV

    E2 still running
    Execute: ps
    E2 still running
    Execute: ps
    E2 still running
    Execute: ps
    E2 still running
    Execute: ps
    E2 still running
Error E2 can't be stopped! Abort flashing.

Im guessing Enigma2 is still running hence the flash is aborted ?

So something is preventing E2 to stop - so try my option #13 to check that it finds the folders and contents correctly
If that doesn‘t work - which it probably will not as thats probably whats executed in the script, then try :
    /usr/bin/ofgwrite -r -k -f /tmp/vuultimo4k

Ofgwrite will directly flash the kernel and root in the folder to the vuultimo4k

I am really unsure of what you're asking here... I am by no means familiar with the file system and as far as flashing goes this is the only time I've needed help as it always worked

This is my view in the putty window : root@vuultimo4k:~#

    What am I copying ?

Is it not possible to close E2 from Putty or force it down then run the upgrade again ?

init 4 should get rid if enigma2.

ps -cef | grep enigma will confirm if it's no longer running.

Both the script and the command used in #13 use ofgwrite
When you online flash an image it uses a utility called ofgwrite which checks the box architecture to see if the correct components are in the specified folder before flashing.
The #13 suggestion copies the Ultimo4k folder used normally for a usb flash (containing the Images linux kernel and E2 root) to the /tmp directory - > so you have /tmp/vuultimo4k which contains the images kernel and root

Normally ofgwrite runs as a task that can stop E2 and if necessary force flashing if E2 cannot be stopped.
I have never had the need to close E2 and run ofgwrite or the script - you can try and see what happens.
    try:-
    killall -9 enigma2

If nothing works you are back to usb flashing
