I am having an issue with the EPG being correct but not having a description. I have attached a screen shot to show what I mean. This can be on any channel but does not effect every show. I am using EPG Importer.

In Epgimporter have you selected the rytec uk sat/virgin xmltv in sources.

i was using confluence, but have gone back to the default
Perhaps see if OpenTVzapper (or EPGRefresh) work any better than EPGImporter for you?
EPG reftesh worked but no EPG on channel 4 HD
Sounds like it's getting the Freesat EPG rather than the Sky EPG.
Have a look at the PDF in message 1 in this thread: https://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?40457
That should help you change it over to the Sky EPG.
Alternatively message 2 contains a link to an explanation of how to use OpenTVZapper (aka OpenTV EPG downloader).
