    Disable the tuner with the wire from the legacy port of LNB. i.e set to "Disabled" or "nothing connected". Restart receiver. If you don't get a picture, then the unicable port is not working.

    This is on the proviso you have not mixed up the wires and you have not made an error with your tuner configuration. Please upload the file called "settings" after you reboot located in /etc/enigma2 if you want someone to double check it. You will need to zip it before you attach it. Please attach it instead of posting content as a post.

    config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.powerinserter=True ?????

    Surely power is coming from tuner?? i.e no power supply feed direct to LNB?

    I can't see the option to enable the externally powered option on my Gigablue. Possibly because the machine has been set as LNB power always on.

    These are the config details relating to tuners in you setting file

    Code:
    config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.bootuptime=0
    config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.lof=unicable
    config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.powerinserter=True
    config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.scrList=1
    config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.unicableManufacturer=GT-SAT

    config.Nims.0.diseqcB=3601
    config.Nims.0.diseqcC=3601
    config.Nims.0.diseqcD=3601

    config.Nims.1.advanced.unicableconnectedTo=0
    config.Nims.1.configMode=nothing
    config.Nims.1.diseqcA=282

    You have not set the other tuners either.

    You would have to copy settings to PC, edit and set to False.
    Then using e.g. putty login to box, init 4(space between) (freeze box, so settings cannot be changed) and copy back settings and then init 6 (space between)to reboot - see if it makes any difference.

    Which image are you on? Please do not say "latest", give the image number.
    Are you using a settings backup from an older image?

    You don't know for definite which wire is which. So you need to be methodical in your approach.

    You have not responded to PM yet.

    Menu/Information/About will tell you which image you're actually running.

    I ask questions to establish issues and help users. Not answering questions is a real obstacle in solving the problem.

    I have flashed 5.4 009.004 again to confirm that the power option menu should not show because the machine.conf is set as LNB power is always on. So I am pretty sure that the answer to the question:
    "Are you using a settings backup from an older image?" is yes.

    I suggest you do the following:
    Download and flash 5.4 008
    Do not restore settings after it restarts
    Do not install any other plugins, chaneg skins etc. Those can be done later.
    In the tuner config menu, use automatic/autodiseqc to establish which tuner has the wire from the universal port. The one with the unicable one should not find anything.
    Label the wires: "Universal" and "unicable"
    Swap the wires around and repeat the autodiseqc test. If we are correct in the identification/labelling, the tuner that finds 28.2 will have swapped around.

    I would suggest that the unicable wire should stay in Tuner A for sake of ease in subsequent steps. But it does not really matter. Please confirm which wire is in which tuner.

    Disable the tuner with universal wire.
    Set the tuner with the wire from unicable port correctly.
    Restart
    Perform a manual scan using the tuner with the unicable wire. Ensure correct tuner is selected, and correct type of scan "single satellite".
    If you get 800+ services everything is good.
    Set the other 6 tuners to unicable. Ensure the "connected to" option is set to the tuner with the signal wire. I recommended A for sake of ease
    Leave the tuner with universal LNb as not configured for now
    Create bouquets
    Record several services. This will ensure that you use multiple tuners.
    If all OK, set the tuner with the universal wire and configure rest of your options, skins softcams etc.

    You guys are geniuses. Abu think you were right with the Back up.

    Only have the one tuner enabled and have 7 recordings going and they are between HD and SD so defiantly different transponders.

    I did cheat though once I saw that the channels were scanning, I tried autobouquet maker it did not work, I then disabled the Unicable tuner, engaged the universal, done the scan and then disengaged the universal, and reengaged the unicable, robotted and all working.

    Again thanks everyone
