    Softcam issue?

I recently updated to 5.4.007 and have noticed the softcam isn't starting when the box has been in standby overnight. It either needs a reboot or restart the softcam (Oscam latest)

Disable startup. Strangely, it appears to have rectified itself.

    UPDATE:

The Softcam Manager is not showing an Active softcam, but my chosen Oscam (oscam-latest) has the blue button showing Disable startup?!

Is this a Vix specific/downloaded softcam or one uploaded on another forum?

Vix has its own softcam manager, we do not use startup files like PLi/ATV. Some packages add the scripts and as a result, they could interfere with Vix softcam manager. Additionally, vix installs the binaries/program/executables to /usr/softcams/ instead of /usr/bin

If a person wanted to use a package from somwheer else, inflate/extract the package using 7zip. The binary file will need to be transferred to /usr/softcams/ and chmod 755
    It should then work.

If it doesn't, one way to find the reason is by starting with telnet. Replace oscam-emu with name of binary

    cd /usr/softcams
    ./oscam-emu

Openvix specific. Softcam downloaded from Plugins menu.

    Hi,
    I have exactly similar issue.

Have you got it fixed somehow ?

OpenVix own oscam, can be started from commandline "/usr/softcams/oscam-latest -b" and Frozen checking timer set to 6 mins.
Still overnight (and today even during the day) oscam seems to be "dying".

I have the same box with 5.4.009 and problems with Oscam here is that it stops, and needs to be restarted, sometimes 2-3 times in one hour, sometimes ones a day, I am not sure if it was on 007 and 008, but tink so.

I have noticed Oscam-latest needing far more restarts with 5.4.009 too. I agree. Memory seems to disappear also...

I went back to 5.4.008 because 5.4.009 gives to much problems with softcam and stuttering image on my duo2.

I have tried other images... Pli, ATV, Pure2, Opendroid... with the same oscam configs. None have the stuttering of image or long ecm times that Vix 5.4.9 has with Oscam.

Seems that discussing topic here cured the issue
So no changes but now OSCAM has been running over 48 hours.
