Question Motorised with FBC Receiver ?

    Evening everyone ,
i wonder if someone could clear up a question .
If i have a Sat receiver that is fitted with FBC tuners is it possible to just fit a normal LNB via motor back to the tuner ? will this work as normal any issues with doing this ?
    Thanks in advance

That setup will work fine, i use a inverto black ultra twin to my fbc tuners from my motorised dish, also a small sky dish to my terestrial tuner on my vu ultimo 4k with no issues what so ever.

    regards

    Thanks Stavo
when you say "also a small sky dish to my terestrial tuner" so your sky dish runs to a DVB T tuner ? i thought these were just for like TV Aerial inputs ?

You've not heard of people using coat hangers as aerials?

FBC satellite tuners will work with conventional/universal LNBs. Just configure tuners exactly as you would do if you had a non-FBC tuners. I.e match the hardware hooked up to it.

So sky dishes work like coat hangers, must remember that.

yes you can hang coats on them. not the other way round. For terrestrial any lump of metal might do if you are in a strong signal area.

Yes you can. It will behave exactly the same as ordinary tuners.

You will of course benefit if you get a Unicable LNB/switch, but those are extras that you can add later. Until you do, the 6 leaf tuners will behave in "loop-through" mode. You don't need to bother about it, you will just be able to view more services that your tuner and/or diseqc switch is locked onto.

Gigablue are quite well established. There is an issue with how it interacts with some TV makes. There is a thread about it, have a look at the Gigablue section of forum before you decide. I don't have that problem nor do many other people.
