    I doubt it.
AutoTimer can add a new Timers as the EPG updates (which is what I was referring to when I said AT adds timers).

Adding an AutoTimer is something that requires a user intervention. An Autotimer adding a Timer isn't (the clue is in the "Auto").

Looks like they are, comparing an et10k and ultimo4k shows 2 bytes different, which is probably insignificant.

But the .pyo file in post #11 is very different, maybe HiSilicon?

Hi @ronand - you don't need epgrefresh for Saorview, unless you never tune to a Saorview channel The default EIT reader, if enabled, will populate the full Saorview EPG in seconds once you tune to any of the channels.

I've tested the new opentvzapper (on a development build) and it works very well to populate the full Sky EPG in less than three minutes.

I know that but I don't watch saorview that much so the epg is often empty. Yes the opentvzapper works fine for sky but epgfresh was working fine me so I will stick with that. I also have epgimporter downloading for other sats so no need to have too many things running. If it ain't broke then don't fix it. Opentvzapper is perfect for those using 28e only and no config is required bar enabling it so I'm sure lots will make use of it.

    In case they are......

Same instructions, followed by a gui restart, and then delete the .py file, otherwise future software updates could be compromised.
Yes the .pyo seems to be architecture dependent - it didnt work on my H7S (no autotimer in the menu) but the .py file worked fine

My mistake. I was thinking too far ahead and that is if .py file not deleted then any online update could end up being overwritten with original .py file.

Could a mod (maybe @Abu) edit my post and remove my pyo file and make ref to @ccs post just after mine for the .py file.

Thank ronand. Saw that earlier. I don't normally use Auto timers but "she who must be obeyed" wanted one set up on my box as she has too many timers on her own older H2s. I'll wait for the next update and just tell her she'll just have to remember if she want to record something on MY box 😂

It only takes a minute to do it. Use an ftp client like filezilla (free) to access the box, rename the file and do the transfer. Might be better than entertaining complaints!
