Thumbs down HELP PLEASE with an odd subtitle problem with VIX

    The set up here:
Vu+ Solo2, Vu+ Duo 2; Vu+ Ultima; Humax satellite recorder – all have dedicated (and different) CAMs to decipher the encoded TV broadcast

Broadcasts are only from Optus D3 – VAST an encoded service

    The Problem:
Subtitles using all Vu+ units are fine on all broadcasts EXCEPT those received on frequency 12487. The subtitles start up OK then very soon either disappear or subtitles from further ahead appear. If left they appear correctly from time to time, then disappear or display ahead. The correct subtitles can be forced to reappear initially with a skip or FF mode but again soon disappear or appear unsynchronized..
ODDLY, the problem does not occur with the Humax unit which users a different CAM setup.
I have not tried a different operating system to VIX as experience years ago soon demonstrated VIX to suit me best.
Why is this important to me?
I am now 85 and have compromised hearing so can no longer follow movies without subtitles. I am currently using the HUMAX to record and play movies broadcast on 12487 but the satellite HUMAX has no skip function (it has been deliberately eliminated under the VAST protocols) so I far prefer using the Vu+/VIX units.
    Help would be most appreciated.

Check the delay settings: MENU->SETUP->USER INTERFACE->SUBTITLES->SUBTITLE DELAY WHEN TIMING LACKS

I had a problem with the subs on one terrestrial channel and setting this to "NO DELAY" solved it.

Also there is another setting "Subtitle delay when timing is bad" which you could play with
Zgemma H7S running OpenVIX 6.2, Darkmotor, Triax TD110 dish, Inverto Black Ultra dual lnb
    LG 50UM7450 4K TV, Pioneer VSX-534 Atmos AVR , Panasonic UB820 region free 4K Bluray & a PS4.

What version of OpenVix are you running? We did some bugfixes mid-2020 to prevent subtitles being displayed before they should. If you've not updated for a while, this might fix the problem.

I have a similar problem, unfortunately it is difficult for others to understand until they need it too!
There still are other problems too, that have actually come out again in last update ...
