    Half hour to crash

    Hi
Anyone throw a light on this:

Vu duo works fine for 40 minutes then Vix starts spinning and within 2 mins the machine grinds to a complete stop with screen paused and no remote keys having any effect at all. I switch off and start again then the same happens.
Its a 7/8 year old machine with latest image .

Could be anything from failing Capacitors which is common on the Vu+ Duo. Also it’s recommended you have a Swap File on your Duo to help with memory hungry apps like CrossEPG etc. ViX stopped support for the Duo about 18 months ago so you certainly won’t be on the latest image, maybe the last image which was 5.2.045 if using ViX.

Do you have swapfile and cacheflush enabled?

I also wonder is box well vented or if caps are starting to go on inside on board which is a common thing.
