DNS changes back after change and save

    Afternoon all,
I'm trying to change my dns to 1.1.1.1 & 8.8.8.8 as I'm told its better for streaming. The issue I'm having is that when I change it and save it, I go back in and its reverted back.

Any Ideas on how to fix this?

    Thanks

It's exceedingly unlikely to make any noticeable difference.
Different DNS services might conceivably resolve parts of some CDNs to different IPs but choosing one Cloudflare DNS server and one Google DNS server really can't achieve anything useful at all.

I'd certainly like to try it and find out. I appreciate the reply tho, but can you answer my original question about stopping the dns reverting after its been changed?

Yes I can change it and it saves, but when I go back in, it reverts back to original. My question is how to stop the dns reverting back, not how to change it.

    Appreciate you replying tho.

    Cheers

.... did you set dhcp to no?

(You might have to setup the box with a static IP as well, but that's for someone else to confirm.)
