    [Freesat 28.2] Add Free Sports HD

    I'd like to add Free Sports HD which used to be on Freesat but like Ch 4 HD has left, but signal is still up there on Astra 2E (28.2°E): 11426 V 29500 8/9 (HD). Also on Sky 422.

    So, I assume that I can add in a similar way to Ch 4HD:

    1. Manually scan the transponder that has FS HD first
    https://www.world-of-satellite.com/s...l=1#post500084

    2. Transfer the xml file that will add the customisation to the Bouquets created by ABM. You must run ABM agian after transferring files so that bouquets are made using it.
    https://www.world-of-satellite.com/s...l=1#post472107

    For the xml custom mix file, can I edit the current custom mix by duplicating the Ch 4 line and changing the details for FS HD??

    Or write another custom mix file and copy into the same location??

    And would be great to have coloured tuning bars like this I saw in another post:

    If you are asking about EPG, you have to use the Sky EPG sources.

    If you are asking about adding to AutoBouquetsMaker Freesat bouquets, you can only have one custom mix file per provider. So yes, edit the existing file. Might be easier if you use the Sky provider file and use FTA mode.

    The Simple_1080 skin does it.

    .... it's already pre-loaded for you to select in skin setup, along with a few others.

    Thanks - found it and brilliant.

    So for Free Sport HD I'll edit the current custom mix file:

    Code:
    <custommix>
        <hacks>
    <![CDATA[

    customised["video"][126] = {'service_type': 0x19, 'service_id': 0x52d0, 'transport_stream_id': 0x0814, 'original_network_id': 0x0002, 'namespace': 0x011a0000, 'free_ca': 0x0} # CH 4 HD

    ]]>
        </hacks>
    </custommix>
    And I'm hoping I duplicate the customised line, insert an unused channel number and Free Sport HD at the end. But what about all the service type, id, stream id etc values?? I assume that they all need changing as well??

    Code:
    <custommix>
        <hacks>
    <![CDATA[

    customised["video"][126] = {'service_type': 0x19, 'service_id': 0x52d0, 'transport_stream_id': 0x0814, 'original_network_id': 0x0002, 'namespace': 0x011a0000, 'free_ca': 0x0} # CH 4 HD
    customised["video"][XXX] = {'service_type': 0x19, 'service_id': 0x52d0, 'transport_stream_id': 0x0814, 'original_network_id': 0x0002, 'namespace': 0x011a0000, 'free_ca': 0x0} # Free Sport HD

    ]]>
        </hacks>
    </custommix>

    You can get details by
    Menu > Information > Service

    Code:
    customised["video"][222] = {'service_type': 0x19, 'service_id': 0xcd5f, 'transport_stream_id': 0x0844, 'original_network_id': 0x0002, 'namespace': 0x011a0000, 'free_ca': 0x0} # Freesports HD
    I will move your thread into ABM section and retitle it.

    Trying to apply the following settings and scan:

    Tuner: A - with access to 28.2
    Type of scan: Predefined transponder
    Satellite: 28.2
    Transponder: 11426 V 29500 FEC 8/9
    Network scan: No
    Clear before scan: no
    Only free scan: no

    But the problem is that FEC only goes as far as 7/8. Tried just setting Auto and None, but no channel found.

    What are you trying to do? A manual scan of a predefined transponder? If that's the case then you can't specify the FEC as its already done. If you are trying to set the settings yourself then do it correctly -> DVB S2 QPSK and then you will be able to select 8/9 as FEC.

    Well, it worked despite message saying no channel found. Can't recall if the message was the same for Ch4 HD.
    So many thanks. FS HD on 222 and noted ITV is now HD.

    Maybe your satellites.xml did not have the 8/9 value. Current one does.

    Using manual transponder selection allows you to enter anything you want.

    Why don't you set ABM to scan Freesat UK and Sky UK? Then import the channel into Freesat from Sky. And set Sky not to create any bouquets. No need to touch SID, TSID, ONID or namespace values.
