Vu+ Solo4k crashing all the time

Mine Solo 4k has started to crash all the time. Any ideas?
I've had solid 5.3 version since the beginning, but few weeks ago box started to crash, no matter what I did. Trying to change and save basically any settgin, it crashed.
Now when 5.4 released, it does the same.. Fresh install + channels back with the dreamboxEDIT.

Here after the fresh 5.4 install + channels with dreamboxEDIT. Trying to download plugins:

Tried again with fresh install with 5.4. Download plugin -> above crash.

edit: Box is working fine, if no need to find plugins or such. Except the error message like above, but ´exit´ from remote´fix´the thing.
edit2: Removed USB stick (which I used for flashing and also Sundtek, so only DVB-S + DVB-C cables are connected.

Not sure.. cant remember when I've switched some gears. Trying to think, I've changed my router and switch, but it must happen before this started iwth my Solo4k. Could it be the router.. it' now pfsense.
Now when I tried to fresh install I didnt even try to mount or anything. Just fresh install Plugin download -> crash.

We have some connectivity checks to ping google's dns server. If it can't connect to the dns server, it thinks that there is a connection problem.

    Interesting.
Is that something you're blocking deliberately?

I dont. It seem that for reason X pfblockerNG has started to block Google DNS (No clue why). I've not made any custom changes for it for awhile, if I recall correctly.. Few updates has arrived in past few weeks for it.

Also open question, why there need to be that kind of connectivity checks?

PS. Firewall now open to 8.8.8.8 and every thing is working again, which is the main goal

Maybe they want to force you to use just a particular DNS (the DNS cache in the router) so that some domains can be blocked by preventing them resolving.

That's something I try to do on my own routers but the invention of DNS over HTTPS has rather spoilt that. All you can do is block all known DNS over HTTPS resolvers. I wonder if that's what was happening here. I haven't bothered on my own routers.

Anyhow, I'm getting too off topic. Glad you fixed it.

This is nothing to do with DNS. This is a standard TCP connection, not UDP. This is an outbound connection and your router should not be interfering with it.

Nevertheless it should not cause a crash. If you are willing to test we can provide you with a crash protected version.

Guys, are you still using 8.8.8.8 for network checks? I blocked the Google DNS and started to get network check errors (Gladly not crashing the box, exit can be used) and also no change to update OpenViX. Wondered what is going on… until i did remember this thread. Which port is used for these checks, so i could unblock it?
I just dont want use 8.8.8.8 so it’s all blocked.
