Seeking on streamed playback IPTV or Local Server

So when playing recorded channels I can seek fine. Using numbers or forward reverse.

When I play a vod setup using jedi or even when I stream from a local pc / mobile server, the video plays fine, but I cannot forward or reverse. I can only pause.

    Things I've tried:
    Service app> set to ext3
In jedi tried dvb, IPTV, extplayer

    What am I missing?

What Box, what image etc. are you on?
You could also try your numbered buttons to F/Fwd and R/Rwd too.

Xtrend 8500, openvix 5.3.035, pressing the numbers just changes the channels.

Initially I used jedi, I have now made them using e2m3u, both are in the extensions section of the feed.
