    Couch flash?

    What does "couch flash" mean?
(in relation to firmware in set top boxes, not the other weird stuff that comes up if you Google it)

It means to flash an image while sitting on your couch instead of flashing by USB. I don't use the term, I say "flash using image manager" and usually post a link to the guide with videos in my siganture. Post 4 in following thread shows it. We have changed the text from "restore" to "flash"

Another term that gets used is "fresh flash". I don't know what the opposite, "sour flash" is. However, when people say "fresh flash", they mean flash an official image as opposed to a backed up image and do not restore settings or plugins after flashing the image. Basically, start afresh.
