Must admit I cannot tie up the crash with the 5.3.034 code

Isn't a zero special - either the "panic button" (instant go to first channel) or instant return to previous channel in OpenVIX?

It makes no difference if I switch time shift off and it still crashes when pressing zero, zero, number (not always first time).

    @HeadBanger:

What if you just press zero yourself?
    Does that crash it?

Yes, pressing zero, zero nearly always causes VIX to crash.

Am I the only one experiencing this - no one else can replicate it?

You are on 5.3.034 - how did you get to this release? Software update or fresh flash?
Also have you tried any of the epg mods that have been posted?

Via the VIX GUI as an update.

What EPG mods are you referring to? Can’t see anything on this thread (sorry if I missed it).

... if you're not aware that epg mods are being tested, then it's very unlikely you're using them.

The mods require a number of files to be transferred to different locations on your box before becoming active.

If you have ever been asked to copy over a .py to the receiver and it hasn't been deleted it would explain the issue, as I couldn't relate the crash to current code.
Would be better for you to backup your settings and reflash with ImageManager ... then see what happens

Nobody is able to reproduce your issue, that doesn't mean there isn't a problem. I suggest you flash 5.3 034 again and restore settings and plugins as the first step. You can flash using Image Manager which will create a settings backup for you. I fyou prefer to flash by USB, make a settings backup first.

If you still have this problem then can I ask what have you got for "Enable Panic Button" on this settings page:
Menu / Setup / User interface / Channel Selection

Maybe try toggling it off and on (or on and off) saving each time.

@abu: Does that make any sense? Correct me if it doesn't.

No crash for me on solo2 pressing 0 on my remote (do it a lot actually). Tried with and without panic button being enabled.

Maybe something to do with how bouquets setup? Did u say you had them setup different from default? Are these bouquets ABM generated?

Setting panic button to off makes no difference.
It’s when pressing zero more than once that seems to trigger it.

I use Cross EPG, have created favourites and then selected alternative numbering mode (my setup > channel selection > Alternative so channels are re-numbered 1,2,3....etc).

I’ve changed how the remote sends channel commands now so unless zeroes are pressed in error, I am avoiding the crashes.

My harmony remote only has favourites for the "watch tv" activity, no others, so I wasn't able to try what you're doing.

Have you set up your Uno4K to be a "watch tv" activity, as I can't see any other way of doing it?

Does the Vu remote cause the same crash?

I need to test with "Alternate numbering" enabled. I don't think this was mentioned before.
