GiGaBlue UHD Trio remote universal code issue

    Hi,

I've just set up a GiGaBlue UHD Trio and came to set up the remote to control the TV and the 'TV', 'DVD' and 'AUX' buttons don't seem to work. Am I missing something? Or is the remote duff?

The procedure from the Universal Remote v2 manual is to hold the device button for 3 seconds, the indicator light will illuminate and then you enter the device code. No matter how long I hold the device button (TV in my case), there is no indicator light activity.

Are you sure it’s a universal remote? Personally I don’t think it is.

I assume it is, as it looks identical to the Universal Remote v2 and has the device buttons on it. GiGaBlue don't seem to sell any other remote type either.

I'll ping the sponsor a message to find out either way.

@Andy - I would expect the Gigablue remote to work like the Vu+ remotes (they typically mirrored the Vu+ features) - so how do you setup on the Vu+ remote?

It's not the same set up as the VU+ remotes, as I have a VU+ box too.

As per my OP, I've followed the procedure from the manual.

WOS suggested I put fresh batteries in the remote and try again. I did and surprisingly, it made no difference.

Just to close this off, WOS sent me another GiGaBlue remote and the design is slightly different to the original. Needless to say, the TV, DVD and AUX buttons actually do what they should do on this one.

Hi Paul thanks for posting this information it has come in very useful as i too am in the same situation, and have contacted WOS and linked this post.

The one supplied with the receiver is sold separately as a universal remote https://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk...Remote-Control

But its like those three buttons (TV, DVD, AUX) are disconnected, so perhaps a dodgy batch!
