    samsung smart tv universal control

Hi, I have an OS Mega box running openvix and a Samsung Q60 smart TV . My problem is that I cannot get the Samsung smart remote to operate the OS Mega box.

I have contacted Samsung support and they suggest it is a problem with the box.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?

    Thanks.

Why would it be a problem with the box and a problem with them?

    Hi,
universal does not mean it can control everything. Samsung seems to simply does not implement enough IR codes for 3rd party hardware. You can try either CEC on both devices or Logitech Harmony as a real universal control.

Thanks Sicilian for the reply. I agree it would appear to be a Samsung problem, but thought I would ask the question just in case.
