No program information for some channels [screenshot included]

    Hello all,
Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place, please move if required. I'm using OpenVIX with an Edision OS Mega box [purchased from this site]. I've been using it for a few years now without any trouble.
I usually don't use the TV during the day, so I've set up a timer for the box to go into deep standby. When I boot up the box from deep standby, there were always a one or two channels for which the program data didn't show in the TV guide, unless I tuned directly to the channel [once I did that, the program data would populate]. See attached screenshot for example.
I've recently updated my the software to OpenViX 5.3.019 (2020-03-12) and now the problem exists on more channels.

    Can anyone help or advise?

    Thanks in advance,

So the channels that are missing are not Freesat channels.

Have you set up EPG Refresh to pull the OpenTV EPG data from IEPG data channel?

Channel 4 HD, More 4 are not part of the Freesat package, so there is no Freesat EPG for them.

    A guide is here

Thank you all for the replies. As per the instructions in the PDF, I have added the IEPG data channel to the EPG Refresh and set up an automated 'fake recording'.

Should this then populate the EPG data for channel 4HD, More4, film4+1 etc? I have set this up but there is no change so far in the EPG for these channels. Are there any checks anything else I need to do?

What about channels such as CNBC HD, Al Jazeera HD etc.? Are these covered by the IEPG channel data?

    Thanks again for the help!

    Cheers,

    DC

Thanks for all help and advice on this one. I tried the 'fake recording' on IEPG data channel but it seemed to interfere with channels during refresh (could not tune to any sat channels). I disabled the auto refresh on this for moment.
I deleted my EPG data, and ran a new refresh from CrossEPG, this seems to have worked and I get a full 7 day EPG for all channels, including Channel 4 HD. Fingers crossed it continues! Will keep you posted if any problems occur

    Thanks again to all!
