    Pleasantly Surprised.

I borrowed an Octagon SF8008 and must admit it was better than I thought it would be for what it costs. Very neat, well laid out, even has AV output, boots fast with the latest VIX image.
Could have done with another USB port but otherwise its very good but only time will tell depending on the long term support. Yet to try blind scan. Plus it fits much better in place of my Gigablue Quad which I never used to its full potential. I may buy the 8008 it from him as he wants one with an internal HDD.

2 USB ports should be enough for most people. Blind scan is brilliant. Its a great receiver for the price. And it has been getting regular updates from Octagon for the past year and a half. There is not much left to sort out anyway except the stutter on channel change - but thats something for Hisilicon to sort out (if at all possible).
