Mio+ Plus 4K has good specs and is well reviewed just like the SF8008. I like the SF8008 because it has the added bonus of the ‘Stalker’ App in the plugin feeds which is great if you have IPTV.
So it’s all down to your requirements.

Edision Mio4K + has nice LCD display and lookswise is a better quality. (Alu casing) - I have never found it an issue but no usb 3.0 or GB lan.
Both receivers blindscan, Mio4k+ is getting a lot of praise on the forums
Octagon, continue to put a lot of effort into the box to correct any issues, but so did Edision on blindscan.

Mio4K+ is the only receiver (that I have ) that works on my 2160 Monitor at 2160 without blips (black screen for a second or two)

Mio4K remote is fine but extremely solidly built compared to the SF8008 remote which is much lighter - so takes some getting used to...

So overall depends on your exact needs - both excellent receivers

Ok I have now seen the zgemma h7s, is the octagon sf8008 as good or better ? Don't need the 3rd tuner but would like advice from someone who has ran both ?

Both Zgemma & Octagon are great boxes. The H7S will allow you to install an internal HDD, whereas the SF8008 won’t but I just use a microSD card for my internal storage needs. The SF8008 is my fave receiver.

@Daz450 - I would go with Andy on this one. Nothing wrong with the H7 but SF8008 continues to get support to update and improve features - BUT if you only want a cheap box that does the basics then go with the H7 or any of the zgemma receivers - as always it depends on exactly defining your requirements

    Copy everything to the USB.
Having said that if you have an image already installed on the receiver the chances are you can online flash to latest image (of whichever image you want) which saves messing around with a usb - if you need help let us know which image.
Once running if you want to use multiboot then you need to insert an SD card into the receiver and format .... but that can wait.
