    Terrestrial Tuner HD problem

    I very rarely use my terrestrial tuner and the last time was several months ago when everything worked fine. Now I have problems with HD channels, ABM and EPG.

    HD disappeared and the only way I could get them back was to do a full UK rescan as opposed to my region. Have since done a full frequency scan which resulted in a message telling me to disable my current provider and run a new ABM scan. Did that and ABM all looks good but no EPG and HD signal only 40% against 100% on SD.

    I seem to remember some reference to T2 in one of the recent update packages so thought I would pose the question before going down the hardware route.

    There is a thread in the ABM section about Frequency finder. Please use it and upload the file it creates for you.

    Sorry, I missed the above statement. Just for reference purposes, that applet has found the following frequencies

    frequency="562000000" transport_stream_id="3006"
    frequency="578000000" transport_stream_id="5040"
    frequency="586000000" transport_stream_id="6040"
    frequency="618000000" transport_stream_id="1049"
    frequency="642000000" transport_stream_id="2012"

    Pontop Pike, but scan did not show any HD channels until I changed to "All UK"

    Just noticed that it still does not show BBC News HD. Maybe they have changed something at the transmitter?

    Such as no longer broadcasting a signal in the 700MHz band, which is where the COM7 (BBC News HD) signal used to be.

    EDIT: Based on old data. Finally tracked down the current data,

    Pontop Pike

    Step Date BBC A D3&4 BBC B SDN ARQ A ARQ B COM7
    N S M N S M N S M N S M N S M N S M N S M
    Now 01 Sep 2021 39 100 100 42 100 100 45 100 100 32 100 100 34 100 100 35 100 100 55 100 100
    Final prediction 2025 39 100 100 42 100 100 45 100 100 32 100 100 34 100 100 35 100 100 55 100 100

    The 39->55 numbers are channel numbers.

    39->618MHz
    42->642
    45->666
    32->562
    34->578
    35->586
    55->746

    It's the last one which is odd. It was supposed to be shut down in Nov 2020. But then so was the same channel (for the same mux) on my transmitter, and it's still running. lamedb5 has:
    t:eeee0000:a000:233a,t:746000000:0:5:5:3:2:4:4:2:0 :1:0

    So you should (I expect) still be getting it.

    COM7 on frequency channel 55 is usually the most difficult mux to receive due to the high frequency combined with the fact that it's a countrywide SFN.
