    VM knock at door

    Hi all

my daughter rang me today at work to tell me that a vm services guy had called at my home, he asked my daughter if he could into my home because he thought that this address may have equipment attached to the cable feed that was causing outages to the street, my daughter let him in, to which this guy has pulled my av cabinet out and removed a splitter from my router also the cable to my ultimo 4k the message that was left is, tell your parents this address will be monitored, he also said he would know if the equipment is reconnected, also tell them they will receive a visit very shortly to ensure things are what they should be, please be warned, has any one else had such a experience,

    Regards

Just for benefit of others, this issue arises when a poor connection gives noise on the line. This affects other users on the cabinet. They then disconnect one user at a time until find line with issue. They then disconnect equipment in users home to find if equipment or cabling is issue.

Then they will disconnect you at the cabinet. Best to make sure your connections are solid.

But are you allowed to refuse them entry if they have to investigate a problem?

If they want to disconnect you to check they can do it from little box outside your house. If they want to come in tell them they will have to ring for an appointment, keep them hanging on the line then tell them they can come between 9 am and 1 pm on a date that suits you
