    OpenTV EPG

The EPG reader is not in your image. It was introduced in 5.3 Vix images.

With regards to XML file, you can install XMLupdate, it is under system plugins. You can then download newest XML file which will have that frequency.

All four methods of obtaining EPG will work, choose the one you want/prefer.

EPG refresh is just a channel zapper.
So for 28.2 users, would you recommend using CrossEPG or is it better to switch to the new OpenTV with EPG Refresh plugin method?

I've been using CrossEPG for a few years now and it's worked fine for the most part, so not keen on changing unecessarily.

If you have had no problems with CrossEPG, continue using it.

Ok thanks Abu. Was curious whether I was missing out on any benefits from using OpenTV/EPG Refresh over CrossEPG.
