My setups great, but would even better if I could add some of the available 4K channels.
Thats your decision, but it will probably cost you and lock you in to a specific supplier - do you really want that when it is possible for most people to work their way through the available options

That’s the thing, I’ve had a go, but this is not my cup of tea. Even if I manage to install openvix onto a box, I think there’s a lot more to do. It’s not as simple as the spiderbox where I installed one soft cam and the box was ready.

Honest pal once you learn how to setup your Enigma2 box you will not look back. It is daunting to start with but the rewarding bit is when you get the picture clearing and you have done it yourself. Also every box i have owned will crash at some time for no apparent reason. Bringing them back to someone whos supplied a fully working box will cost you more in the long run to have them reset it. Its not a good route as they will lock/change default passwords etc to force you to contact them when it crashes etc. When you get your own setup done you can keep your own files backed up on pc,usb stick etc and just install latest builds and load your own saved details. Soon you will have brand new default boxes up n running in 10 mins.

Im no linux expert but i know I could have any E2 box unwrapped and working in 10/20 mins. Once learned its pretty much a repeat exercise setting up.
And again I have seen others get pretty much a walkthrough by kind forum members.

Take the plunge you wont regret it
