When I setup the timer to record an IPTV channel for 2 hours say, the recording only lasts for a few minutes.
The instant record works fine.
IPTV and Recording on OpenViX is a grey area.

1) make sure you are not watching , recording another IPTV service
2) only set up the recording on the day (not auto timer - never works for me)
3) don‘t have a sat/cable recording at the exact same time as the IPTV recording
