That can't be a release of OpenViX.

Sorry, that's the other TV pic I'm looking at to determine the gap in the live pause. This is the correct image I'm using.

That sounds like you are using OpenATV not OpenViX?
You can download OpenViX from www.openvix.co.uk

Just a little confused now is the timeshift issue showing in ViX and ATV or just one or the other, if so which one?

I have just changed time shift seconds to 2 seconds and restarted the box. No change I'm afraid.
I set all my boxes to 20 seconds.

These are my settings. Apologies for the confusion with the OpenATV info.

Here you say you are have a Toshiba PCL200 500 GB internal HDD. HDWK105. Why aren't you using that as the HDD with ext4 format?
I had a big problem over the weekend because I was using a very slow USB stick.
I use usb stick primarily for my picons, and settings backups - other people can comment (I don't use timeshift) but I would put timeshift on your internal HDD.
It means setting up ext4 on teh internal HDD and then reset the usb stick mount to usb (use MountManager)

Looks like a possible bug, not sure if openvix or drivers. Need to look further. Work around as follows:

Set timeshift to 10 seconds ( that's what I normally use, you could set higher).
If you want to pause live TV, wait at least the 10+ seconds.
Press Pause then directly after press Play and then Pause straight away.

We'll need to check, but busy at the moment working on next OpenViX release.

So am I the only person experiencing this problem? Does live pause work for everyone else? Maybe I haven't set it up properly. Just in case, here's what I did.

I fitted the 25 Toshiba SATA drive inside my Amiko Viper Combo HDD. I powered the box and selected the initialise option. I formatted the drive and all wen well. Some people say I should also convert the files from ext3 to ext4 using the box also. any other advice much appreciated.

When I’ve initialised any HDD to Ext4, I then Mount using Blue button > ViX > Mount Manager. You need to highlight your HDD then I Setup Mounts. If done correctly, it will say your Receiver needs to reboot/restartGUI etc.

Ok, so are there three different things I should do when setting up my HDD?

    1. Initalise it
    2. Convert files to Ext 4
    3. Create mount point
