New Zgemma H9S black screen with openvix

    Hi,

Just received my new H9S and I requested the openvix image. Plugged it in and I see the initial flash screen, then I see the Openvix please wait logo, then all I see is a black screen...
    Any hints?

I assume that this is before it goes to the setup wizard?
If so can you use your router to determine what IP address its using then:
Login to the PC with a telnet connection (e.g. with Putty) login ID is root no password.
Then type init 4 (space between) followed by enigma2 (does the log show failure??)

Otherwise download current image from ViX image downloads, unzip to usb stick and power off then on holding the reset button at the back until you see the zgemma logo flash
    Gigablue Quad 4K & UE 4K
    .........FBC Tuners:
    ------------------> DUR-Line DCR 5-1-8-L4 Multiswitch to 1.5M dish(28.2E)
------------------> Spaun SUS 5581/33 NFA Multiswitch to 80 cm dish(19.2E)
    .......................> FBC & DVB-S2X into 90cm dish (27.5W) Opticum robust Unicable LNB
    AX HD61, Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo, Octagon SF8008 , gbtrio4k, h9se using Legacy ports on multiswitches

The setup did pop up the first time, then it just went off itself as I was trying to find batteries to put in the remote. Then I tried to reboot it and now the above happens.
I tried as you said. downloaded the openvix image then holding down the reset button I switch the power on but the zgemma logo doesnt fash up. On the actual box I can see a white logo. I held it down for about a minute and nothing.

Then may be the setup was complete and you just needed to hit a key on the remote????

Anyway, the reset button is kind of difficult - make sure its depressed - takes about a minute to read the usb.
Whats on the usb stick exactly and is it fat32 format? The zgemma logo just changes colour white/red when loading which takes a good 5 minutes.

Maybe you changed the display settings to an unsupported mode when changing the batteries?
You can access the box via openwebif and change settings.
