Thread: Build my own Vix image

Now when I build a 5.4 developer image I find EPGRefresh no longer crashes while setting it up but it doesn't seem to fill the EPG from Sky IEPG data 1.

Correction. I can't get a sky EPG at all by any method on any image at the moment (including 5.3.039 Release)
EPGRefresh on IEPG Data 1 does nothing despite showing 13.5 dB S/N ratio as normal.
EPG-Import nothing seems to happen after the download has completed.
CrossEPG makes the box completely unresponsive to the remote after the download completes with weird figures going round and round at the top of the screen "xx / 10xx%" ?!

EPG import - just check you have the correct sources checked - works for me.

Your epg file may be corrupt. Delete it. Its nothing to do with building an image so maybe a new thread?

Never mind, I made a symlink from experimental to developer on my feeds server just in case.

    whereas under build-enviroment/builds/openvix/release/h7/tmp/deploy/ipk
    I have 3rdparty, all, cortexa15hf-neon-vfpv4, h7, h7_3rdparty and zgemmah7

Is that correct or has something gone wrong with my build environment?
It seems to work right if I just symlink to the release versions of 3rdparty and h7_3rdparty in the developer part of my feeds server.

It needs to correspond to the paths on your server

. For me it is like this...
    mkdir -p /var/www/feeds/openvix/developer/5.4/h7
    ln -s /home/openvix/5.4/builds/openvix/developer/h7/tmp/deploy/ipk/* /var/www/feeds/openvix/developer/5.4/h7

Just starting builds from scratch again on a new laptop.

But there's a problem trying to download
    Code:
    http://www.dvbsky.net/download/linux/media_build-bst-14-141106.tar.gz
    needed for the MBTwin.

There is no DNS record for www.dvbsky.net. This might be a temporary registration error, or it might have gone away completely.

So, does anyone have a copy of that file that they could get to me, so that I can fudge it into the build, please?

(And it might need to go into a MIRROR somewhere?).

Thanks. I'll edit that into my SRC_URI temporarily...which has worked.

They seem to have lost the www subdomain.
    http://dvbsky.net/download/linux/med...-141106.tar.gz
    seems to work.

If they own dvbsky.net I can't see that they'd have hived off www. I suspect that their DNS server records are messed up (or have changed to not include www.).

I guess lost was the wrong word.
Yes their DNS is messed up. Today it is only intermittently returning an IP for dvbsky.net even without the www.

I now get this, which might explain things a bit? It's actually moved to dvbsky.eu.

    Code:
    [gmllaptop]: host dvbsky.net
    dvbsky.net has address 94.102.215.112
    dvbsky.net mail is handled by 5 mxbiz1.qq.com.
    dvbsky.net mail is handled by 10 mxbiz2.qq.com.
    [gmllaptop]: host www.dvbsky.net
www.dvbsky.net is an alias for www.dvbsky.eu.
    www.dvbsky.eu has address 94.102.215.112

Yes I got that yesterday and today but, for me, www.dvbsky.eu and dvbsky.eu don't (yet?) resolve to IP addresses.
Later: My router directs all DNS queries to OpenDNS 208.67.222.222, etc. and for some reason they don't (yet?) resolve [www.]dvbsky.eu, while 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8, 9.9.9.9 all do.
Later still: Now it looks like OpenDNS has caught on and all these domains .net and .eu now resolve!!!
