VU solo2 box needing an upgrade

    Hi All,

Long time since I posted, hope everyone is well.

    ', looking for some advice.

My trusty VU Solo2 box has lost one of its tuners and I'm going to buy a new box.

What would you suggest as an upgrade to the VU Solo2?

I dont need 4k channels, just normal sd and hd and basically something I can put openvix on with 3 or 4 tuners.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks for the replies, Ill admit Im A bit of a noob when it comes to tuners required.

I thought all tuners were satellite tuners lol but yes, mine are satellite.

Would prefer to buy new but appreciate ideas.

I have the Ultimo 4K which is a fantastic receiver but is pricey, so could look at the Duo 4K which looks cool.

Your Solo2 had two satellite tuners, so you might also want to consider the following:

    Zgemma H7S:
    https://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/zgemma-h7s

    VU+ Uno 4K SE:
    https://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk...e-fbc-dvb-s-s2

Both the above are higher spec to your Solo2.

He mentioned he wanted a receiver with 3 or 4 tuners, unless he is willing to consider a Unicable II LNB setup on his dish.

Did you end up buying a new box - if so then i would be interested in taking your faulty box off you...i could use it for parts.
