    Openwebif from remote location

Sorry if this has been asked before but I am trying to access my box (OS Mio 4K) specifically Openwebif from a remote location. I am using Nord VPN and OpenVPN and used the setup script to get it installed on the box and it is running. Also using Openvix image. I am trying to access from a laptop and I'm in the US. I have the Nord app installed on the laptop and it's running and connected.

I enter the IP address of the box into the browser and it does not connect. I'm sure I am just missing something stupid. Any ideas? I am sure this is possible and being done every day.

If you have a VPN running on the box you won't be able to connect to openwebif due to your VPN blocking ports.

So I have to turn off OpenVPN on the box? I thought that was the whole point in being able to stream the box to a remote location.

Having a vpn on your box will only mask the ip of the box if it’s needed for some Iptv services.
To access your box externally you need to open ports on your home router(not recommended) or buy your own router which has its own openvpn config.

If you have openvpn set to Nord you are basically hiding your IP address

OK, so if I do not have OpenVPN on the box and have OpenVPN installed on my laptop and have the box ticked on openwebif that I can access via vpn then I should be able to access...yes?
